CCHOPE ELECTION 2001

It is the civic duty and moral obligation of every Filipino citizen eighteen (18) years or older, possessing of all the qualifications and none of the disqualifications under the law, to register and cast his/her vote (Section 1, Article V, 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines; Sec. 4, B.P. Blg. 881, as amended) because "Sovereignty resides in the people and all government authority emanates from them" (Section 1, Article II, 1987 Constitution of the Republic of the Philippines).
